The Beaujolais Villages appellation was born of the winegrowers' desire to select the best Beaujolais hillsides. It covers 38 communes in the region and produces characterful red, white and rosé wines. Beaujolais Villages Trénel comes mainly from the Perréon and Clochemerle areas. The plots, with their sandy loam and granite soils, face south and east.
