Domaine de la grange de l'oncle charles is a very young estate that set up in ostheim in 2014. A former carpenter, jérôme françois has a passion for wine and, above all, vines, and began by taking over a small part of his grandfather's production. He works biodynamically, with two magnificent horses as companions, helping him to work the soil. With hard work and patience, he finally found his style and now has over six hectares of vines which he pampers to give the best possible results. His wines are essentially natural, but very stable and devoid of any deviation. Without a tractor, ploughing is done with their draught horses: sirus and fastoche. This enables them to avoid unnecessary soil compaction that suffocates biological and microbiological life. They let their herd of Ushant sheep graze in the rows of vines. In addition to mowing the weeds, they bring organic fertilizer to the soil. For them, the special care they take with their animals in the vineyards, while respecting the soul of the plants, the soil and the environment, contributes to the preservation of the environment.
