François-xavier dauré took over the 9 ha of his father's estate at the 2015 harvest, and the time had come to put down his bags and try to benefit from a new impetus. His past experience, a strong partnership with a leading natural wine estate in the Roussillon region, and discussions with some of espira's finest bérets had turned everything upside down in a sequence that the winemaker thought was already established. After a few weeks of reflection, it was time to change course. To return to a direction already taken by his father in the 90s. A visionary and futuristic direction at the time. Organic farming. Le domaine des lampyres (fireflies in the animal kingdom) came out of the vats for the first time in July 2017. The first two cuvées, luminescence and anima are true garage wines and fruits of experimentation. Cuvée anima is made from Mourvèdre, Grenache and Syrah vines planted on clay-limestone soils with east-west exposure. Carbonic maceration in whole bunches with 7 days on skins in fiberglass vats. Aged in stainless steel vats and barrels for 6 months. The nose of this wine reveals delicious fruit notes.
