The winemaker
In the heart of Alsace, the 8-hectare family estate is located south of Colmar. The reception cellar and the modern cellars are nestled in the middle of the vineyards, at the foot of the natural park of the Ballons des Vosges, in Gueberschwihr.
Jean-Claude and Bernadette, the parents, are the seventh generation of independent winegrowers by vocation and by passion, and run the vineyard. Since 1996, their daughter Muriel has been in charge of the vinification in addition to the daily activities in the vineyard, in the cellar and with the customers. Ralph, her husband, provides valuable assistance in times of increased workload. The 8 hectare vineyard is composed of more than 40 plots of land located between Gueberschwihr, Pfaffenheim, Hattstatt and Vœgtlinshoffen, offering a rich and diverse range of terroir.
The Gueth family has long been committed to respecting the soil, flora and fauna, and defends its conviction that a healthy soil makes it possible to produce good wines. With the help of modern tools and meticulous work, they strive every day to create a link with the terroir to reveal the personality of each of their vintages. "Our family name "GUETH" is the Alsatian equivalent of "GUT" in German and "GOOD" in English: you can't make this up! To offer you wines that are naturally "GOOD"..."
