The winemaker

After the war the trade of wine in Alsace was totally disorganized. In 1954 the winemakers of Hunawihr put their efforts together to make wine and sell themselves their productions. Aware of the wealth of their land, winemakers spend their days working in the vineyards ... and their nights construct the buildings of the winery where we continue to perpetuate their expertise. The Wine Cellar of Hunawihr is ranked among the best by "La Revue du Vin de France": the first cooperative winery in Alsace and 3rd in France.
