In a few words ...
This is the only Sélection de Grains Nobles produced on the estate in 2011, which is considered a record year for VT and SGN production in Alsace. Admittedly, the climate was favorable (warmth, sunshine and humidity), but we preferred to limit the production of this type of wine to terroirs capable of maintaining an interesting structure. The deep, rich marls of the Jebsal region allow the soil to retain a nice freshness, and therefore also a nice structure. Produced from the third sorting (the first was downgraded to classic Pinot-Gris), this wine has a classic richness of 167° Oechslés (23.5° potential). With less marked acidity, fermentation was a little faster to reach a slightly higher alcohol level (for an SGN).
Tasting notes
Aroma
The nose is classically marked by noble rot (acacia honey, wax...) but also has a lovely fruitiness (peach nectar, apricot, dried fruit...).

Taste
The palate is marked by great liqueur and an almost suave texture, making it very approachable. The acidity and bitterness are reminiscent of citrus zest.
