2010, an unprecedented vintage! Following a very cold winter and a cool spring, mid-flowering was observed in June. Very high temperatures at the beginning of July led to a significant increase in grape ripeness. The sunny weather that continued throughout September and October favored good sugar concentration and superb acidity.
The wine's presence, body and breadth on the palate are unparalleled.
Appearance
To the eye, the wine's yellow-gold color already indicates an interesting maturity, while its green highlights underline its youthful brilliance.
Aroma
The first nose reveals ripe yellow fruit, dried apricot and nectarine. The second nose reveals a mineral presence typical of this marl-limestone terroir, but also a smoky side.
Taste
On the palate, the wine has great structure, full and deep, underpinned by saline tension. Full-bodied and voluptuous at first, it then evolves into a taut, straightforward structure.
