Chateau de Cazenove, renowned even on the other side of the Atlantic for its main cuvée, dares to break codes for the 2019 harvest: with the "Familly Reserve", Louis de Cazenove offers a wine without added sulfites from his favorite plots, crafted with originality, and what's more in Burgundy bottles! This small estate, whose vineyards are located between the great classified growths of Château d'Issan and Château Dauzac, is thus breaking new ground in natural wine, in a region where classicism reigns supreme.
A gamble that seems to have paid off for Louis de Cazenove: on tasting, the cuvée Family Reserve 2019, though very young, is already well-balanced and very mature. Like the château's main cuvée, it has real ageing potential, but the wine is already extremely pleasant, with supple, silky tannins. We love it!
