It's a journey through two regions with totally different climates, grape varieties and soils. It's an ode to mixing and mingling, because here we get the best of both worlds: the spicy aromatics of Rhone sun-drenched Syrah, and the velvety fruit of prestigious Bordeaux terroirs! "Caroline Frey, who also runs the renowned Domaine Paul Jaboulet aîné in the Côtes-du-Rhône region, explained that the idea of producing "Evidence" came to her "quite naturally, as I was constantly going back and forth between Ludon-Médoc and Tain-l'Hermitage. The cabernet-sauvignon comes from the vines producing La Lagune's second wine, Le Moulin de Lagune, and the syrah from the vines of Domaine de Thalabert, which vinifies Jaboulet's Crozes-Hermitage." (SUD OUEST) The practice of vinifying Cabernet Sauvignon with Syrah dates back to the 18th century. In those days, Bordeaux wines were known as "hermitages". Only 10,000 bottles of this fine, confidential cuvée are released.
