Golden yellow / very fine mousse. Cuvée Louis 2004 is expressive and powerful on the nose. In addition to lots of yellow fruit, there are notes of wild raspberry, seaweed and herbs. The scent that emerges after some contact with oxygen is fascinating: blond tobacco, café au lait, roasted almonds, nougat and dried fruit. You'd like to sink into its magnificent fullness and opulence. On the palate, it has exactly that creamy richness and juicy fruit, dried figs, apricots, a fine honey sweetness combined with intense, stimulating minerality and extremely invigorating carbon dioxide. Proof that fullness and harmony are not the fruit of high dosage, but of perfect grapes grown on perfect terroir. Its persistence seems infinite. Don't drink it too cold in Burgundian glasses, and pair it with noble cuisine.
