La Cave de L'illEstimated delivery between 27 and Dec 31,
Introduced to wines from an early age by his grandfather, a winegrower in Anjou, olivier pithon fell into the world of wine when he was a child. His older brother, jo pithon, a winegrower on the coteaux du layon, set up his own winery when olivier was just 4 years old. So it was natural that he came to wine, or that wine came to him. Sensitized to quality from an early age, he left his native land to continue his training in the Bordeaux region. A few internships enabled him to discover other regions such as Jurançon and Beaujolais. From experience to experience, life brought him into contact with many people, including Stéphane Derenoncourt, a self-taught winemaker from the Bordeaux region. With him, the winemaker learned sensitivity, a love of work well done, precision in the choice of interventions, the importance of tasting in the elaboration of wines and respect for the raw material. At the end of 2000, Olivier Pithon began looking for a place to live, a place where he could live out his passion for the land and wine. One phone call and a meeting with Gérard Gauby and he's never looked back.
