In a few words ...

An exceptional cuvée! It's impossible to give the exact blend of this cuvée, which comes from "collection vines", where numerous grape varieties are planted. Centenarian Grenache, but also Vaccarèse, Counoise, Mourvèdre, Cinsault , Terret Noir and Muscardin. Yields are kept to a minimum, with three vines required for each bottle produced. The vines are located on the northern terroirs of Châteauneuf-du-Pape.

Tasting notes

A beautiful dark garnet color.

Aroma

The nose develops aromas of black fruit, lavender and graphite, with light roasted notes from the ageing process.

Wine Fruity | Spicy

Taste

Very present, yet elegant tannins on the palate. A note of fatness adds to the minerality of this extraordinary wine.

Excellent bottle, always a success. Would benefit from a few more years of cellaring, but is already easy to appreciate. Tasted with a mature Salers rib of beef and some seasonal vegetables, grilled a la plancha, it revealed its tannins and smoothness.

Excellent value for a Châteauneuf. Open 1 hour before tasting. A dense wine with a lovely bouquet of garrigue, black fruits, liquorice and black olives. Good length and no false notes. Our favorite

Xavier Vignon is always at the top of his game: a wine that's easy to drink thanks to its sweetness, without forgetting the complexity behind it, with very fine, well-integrated oak.

A great wine for laying down. On tasting, it promises a bright future. I recommend waiting at least another 4 or 5 years.

Excellent quality/pleasure ratio thanks to Twil. This bottle should be forgotten for another decade.
