This cuvée comes from a parcel of vines over a hundred years old. Less than 1 hectare in size, the grape varieties are 99% Merlot and 1% Cabernet franc. The wine is aged between 12 and 18 months in new oak barrels.
"Every year, old vines die. So we called in our nurseryman to preciously safeguard this treasure left by great-grandfather, by making a Massale selection of this old red-barked Merlot variety."
