    In a few words ...

In 2017, the Oddo family bought the legendary Cordoba estate in South Africa and renamed it Taaibosch. Here, winemaker Chris Keet produced "Crescendo", the country's most famous wine, exported worldwide and considered the South African rival to Saint-Émilion's famous "Cheval Blanc"! The estate ceased operations in 1997, and it wasn't until 20 years later, under the Oddo family, that this illustrious cuvée once again shone on the world wine scene. Schalk-Willem Joubert, oenologist and Bordeaux expert, advises the domaine with his great expertise. The 2018 vintage thus marks the rebirth of the great "Crescendo", and is the "discovery of the year" for renowned oenologist Tim Atkin, who awarded it 97 points! The South African Platter guide gives it 5 stars, its highest rating ever!

The new 'Crescendo' is a beautifully refined red wine from 21-year-old vines. Aromas of violets and freshly cut grass guide us to a fresh, bright palate with relatively low alcohol volume. Filigree tannins, a subtle woody dimension, fine tension and enough concentration and balance to age well.

Absolutely exquisite. Velvety on the palate, with notes of ripe black fruit, violets and wood. A touch of terroir salinity and perfect balance. A rival to some of the best Bordeaux! One of my best discoveries of the year.

Magnificent South African wine, full-bodied and powerful, with notes of ripe fruit. Beautiful persistence on the palate. Still a little young, to be cellared to appreciate its full potential. A wonderful discovery!

Worthy of a great Bordeaux. A great discovery and a favorite! Fiery when young, but with great ageing potential. I'm going to let a few bottles age to appreciate it with more wisdom.

excellent concentration and an infant right now. it will mature to become a superb wine so several bottles should be forgotten in the cellar.

Nothing to envy a Pauillac! Black fruit (blackcurrant), leather, tobacco and vanilla notes. A very nice surprise. Aerate at least 2 hours before tasting.
