A unique cuvée in the style of a great Bordeaux wine. Full and smoky on the nose, it is cleanly balanced and full-bodied on the palate, with complex aromas. Powerful and fruity. Earthy, ripe with notes of tobacco, plum and blackcurrant. The grapes all come from the same terroir in the foothills of the Andes in the Maipo Valley, and are hand-harvested and rigorously selected before pressing. Each grape variety ferments separately at 4-5°c, with an average maceration time of 7 days. With fermentation, the total maceration time is even 20 days on average. 100% of the wines are aged for 12 months in French oak. After bottling, the wine is aged in bottle for at least a further 12 months. Named in 1850 by christian lanz after his beloved wife, carmen is one of chile's oldest wineries. The individual wines also enjoy worldwide renown thanks to a large number of international awards. Carmen rediscovered the carmenčre grape variety in Chile in 1996 and has since pioneered the cultivation of premium wines from this variety. Allergene:enthält sulfite
