The berrouet brothers, jeff & olivier, are the architects of the family's vineyards, whose history began in the 70s when their father jean-claude berrouet, manager of château petrus for 44 vintages, started looking for a few hectares of beautiful vines on the heights of saint-emilion. By 1979, the estate had grown to 4.5 hectares, and in 1982, a further 1.5 hectares were added with Château Samion in the Lalande de Pomerol appellation, bringing the total vineyard to 6 hectares by 2003. For several years now, jeff has been at the helm of the family estates, which now total 28 hectares: old château st andré in aop montagne st emilion, château samion in aop lalande de pomerol, château bonneau in aop montagne st emilion, and château hyon la fleur in aop st emilion. olivier succeeded his father at château pétrus. As a family, jean-claude, jeff and olivier make the vintages. Each year, they let themselves be guided by the raw material to preserve the originality of each of their wines.
