the saint emilion vineyard has been a world heritage site since 1999 as a cultural landscape. It is the largest wine-growing region in the Libourne region. st emilion wines are fleshy, spicy and often marked by a fruity note. the great king louis xiv nicknamed it "the nectar of the gods".the wines have an intense red color with red or black fruit notes on the nose. The tannic structure becomes silky and mellow with ageing, and the aromatic palette is enriched by more complex spicy notes.
The 1979 vintage produced a fine harvest in terms of both quality and quantity. The wines are harmonious, balanced and fruity. With good ageing potential, the great wines are magnificent today. Long underestimated, this vintage remains excellent value for money.
