Haut Médoc is located upstream from the Gironde estuary. The gravelly composition of the soil encourages the cultivation of Cabernet Sauvignon. The wines are concentrated and tannic, requiring at least 6 months of ageing. When young, the nose offers aromas of red and black fruits, evolving towards spices and vanilla to a greater or lesser extent with ageing. Haut-Medoc is a great wine for laying d... own.
The 1981 vintage is a little-known one, as it was austere at the outset. It has evolved favorably and can still offer good bottles. Read more

Excellent, with undergrowth and mushroom aromas. Drink in July 2021.
