    In a few words ...

The grand vin is aged for an average of 14 months in a superb cellar (40-60% new oak, depending on the vintage). Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, whose proportions vary from year to year, make up the bulk of the blend. They are complemented by Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc.

    Le vigneron

    Le vigneron vous en parle

"On tasting, Lilian Ladouys always reveals a greedy, crisp structure of ripe tannins, a refined woodiness that melts into an explosion of fruit. The opulence and length are those of great Saint-Estèphe wines. "

    Tasting notes

    Appearance

Dense, dark garnet color, drawing on purple in its youth.

    Aroma

The bouquet reveals notes of cassis, violet, mocha, vanilla, spices and licorice.

    Taste

The wines of Saint-Estèphe have strong tannins and thus reach their maturity more slowly than most other medals. They offer black fruits, a note of freshness, often a woody or smoky aspect and a floral touch.

Never disappointed with Lilian Ladouys, 2016 vintage with a wine completely on the fruit, lots of roundness, not very pronounced tannins, a smooth wine like all the vintages of this château.

One bottle's a goner, the other two quite nice, but this vintage, as expected, is at the end of its life. Nevertheless, it perfectly matches what we expect from a St Estèphe on the palate, for what remains of long-lasting aroma. So, to be discovered.

A pure marvel of a wine, what an aroma, a wonderful discovery, it goes well with good Corsican charcuterie and a good Saint-Marcellin.

Very easy to digest, seductive. Fragrances of red fruit but the hint of acidity is not aggressive. Very well-balanced!

A little less refined than the 2013, but a real treat, enjoyed with lamb confit with a cep sauce.
