AOC SAINT EMILION GRAND CRU, made from a selection of clay-limestone and sandy plots, 70% Merlot, 27% Cabernet Franc and 3% Cabernet Sauvignon. The vines are cultivated using sustainable methods, with no use of chemical weedkillers. The Saint Emilion vineyards have been listed as a World Heritage Site since 1999. It is the largest wine-growing area in the Libourne region. The wine is traditionally aged in French oak barrels for 12 months, 50% of which are new. Part of the production is aged in stainless steel tanks for 12 months. The wine is blended before bottling. The wine is very fruity, with a well-balanced woodiness, without being overpowering. It will keep for 8 to 15 years, depending on the vintage.
