In a few words ...

A classic (if not a must-have) among Pessac-Léognan wines, thanks to parcel-based vinification in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats, high vinification temperature (30°c.), daily pumping-over, délestage, 3 to 5-week maceration. Ageing: in an air-conditioned cellar, racking every three months, 1/3 aged in new French oak barrels, 1/3 in one-wine barrels and 1/3 in two-wine barrels for 14 to 18 months.

Tasting notes

Appearance

Dark, dense ruby with blue highlights.

Aroma

The nose is clean and fresh, opening with ripe red berries (cherry, raspberry, redcurrant) and becoming more complex with agitation, with smoky, toasty notes. On swirling, the finish releases aromas of licorice and spices.

Wine Fruity | Spicy | Vegatable

Taste

The structure on the palate is pleasantly round and fleshy, with silky, well-extracted tannins. The finish is long, on red fruit, spices and the toasty note of Cabernet Sauvignon, a characteristic expression of the great terroirs of Pyrenees.

Wine Fruité | Plein | Rond

It's not the first time I've tasted wines from this estate, and I'm never disappointed. This one is remarkable!

Probably a little overdue, but the aromas are still very well preserved. Length on the palate is beginning to drop a little.

Fruity, smooth and straightforward, this is a very good Pessac-Leognan that's easy to drink.

Great balance / perfect match with beef or veal or pork en croûte
