A small 18-hectare cru, Langoa Barton has belonged to the Barton family since the early 19th century, who also own the renowned Château Léoville Barton, acquired a few years later. Well known and appreciated by connoisseurs in England, where it is widely marketed, this 3rd Cru Classé of Saint-Julien is located to the east of Talbot and to the north of Ducru-Beaucaillou. Planted on a fine terroir of gravel and pebbles over clay, the vineyard is made up of Cabernet Sauvignon (60%) and Merlot (35%). J. Suckling: 94-95/100
Appearance
Dense, dark garnet color, drawing on purple in its youth.
Aroma
The nose reveals notes of violet and empyreumatic like wood, roasting, vanilla ... In aging, the wine will reveal very high quality game or truffle aromas.
