Last November, Château Lamarsalle 2019 won the title of RED WINE OF THE YEAR 2023 awarded by the prestigious Finnish magazine Viinilehti, ahead of two Italian wines. This organic and biodynamic wine, half Merlot, half Cabernet Franc, aged for three years in underground tanks, is the first French wine to win this title. It's a Montagne-St-Émilion from the Despagne family, one of the oldest in Bordeaux.
