    In a few words ...

Assembly : 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc vinification : this wine will be aged for 12 months, 27% in new oak barrels and the rest in one-wine barrels. The barrels are made of certified French oak, naturally dried in an outdoor cellar. Regular topping-up is carried out during the first 6 months of ageing. The wines, racked every 2 or 3 months, undergo a total of 5 rackings during aging. Aged for 12 months in French oak barrels (30% new wood). TASTING : deep purple in color, this wine from the saint-julien appellation reveals lovely fruit notes dominated by black cherries. On the palate, Château Lalande-Borie 2014 is very tasty, sappy and has a good tannic presence. Fresh, it offers a silky, sensual structure. This suave wine develops a long, fruity finish.

    Tasting notes

    Appearance

Dense, dark garnet-red color, tending toward violet in its youth.

    Aroma

The nose is composed of violets and empyreumatic aromas such as wood, torrefaction, vanilla... As the wine ages, it will reveal high-quality game and truffle aromas.

    Taste

Saint-Julien wines are renowned for combining the feminine finesse of Margaux wines with the strength of Pauillac wines. As a result, we'll find full-bodied tannins with a strong note of black fruit, giving an interesting overall balance.

Château Lalande Borie Saint Julien 2014, with an aromatic nose (freshness of a meadow) and a round, long finish. We loved it with a tomahawk prime rib.

A lovely, well-made vintage, with power that balances out with fresher notes of black fruit and a long finish.
