The Saint Julien appellation is 80% occupied by Crus Classés, which reduces the other Crus to a small number. Family-owned for almost three centuries, La Bridane is a vineyard located to the west of the appellation, on the Saint-Laurent terroirs, close to those of Beychevelle. The château produces a balanced, classic Saint Julien with an original perfume. James Suckling ( 92-93 )
