Morgon is one of the ten Beaujolais crus. This appellation covers some 1,100 hectares, on a soil composed of schist and granite. The vineyards are located on the hill above the village of Villié Morgon, on south and southeast-facing slopes. A deep cherry color, with aromas of nuts and red fruit flesh, this expressive wine has round tannins that will keep for several years.
