This brouilly château de saint-lager is a fine expression of Beaujolais wines. It comes from old vines benefiting from ideal exposure and excellent terroir, but also from quality work carried out in accordance with the principles of sustainable agriculture. Aged in wooden tuns, this wine adds complexity. Ideal with red meats or charcuterie. This 2023 has an intense, deep ruby color with flashes of violet. The nose is expressive and fruity, with hints of red berries (strawberry, raspberry), plum, cherry and blackcurrant. The palate is supple and elegant, with good intensity and the minerality typical of Brouilly wines. Good persistence. 100% Gamay. 7.5 hectares of 50-year-old vines planted on the eastern face of Mont Brouilly. Sandy loam soil. Aged for 6 months in wooden tuns.
