    Often cited as a benchmark since 1897, Loupiac has nothing to be ashamed of, far from it, when compared to its illustrious Sauternes neighbors. Alain Thiénot fell under the wine's spell while tasting the 1929 vintage, and decided to acquire the estate in 1980. Château de Ricaud Loupiac is highly aromatic (more floral than sweet), lively on the palate and fresh. It has established itself as the benchmark for Loupiac, and it's no coincidence that some journalists have dubbed it "the Yquem of the Right Bank".

    A beautiful golden yellow color.

    Aroma

    Rich, complex aromas. Fruit aromas have evolved into aromas of fruit jelly and candied fruit.

    Taste

    Young sweet whites are delicious, slightly jammy but still retaining acidity. With age, they evolve towards more concentrated aromas, such as the bitterness of candied orange and hints of salted butter caramel.
