Assembly : 80% Semillon - 20% Sauvignon Blanc. vinification : hand-picked. Traditional, meticulous viticulture. Fermentation takes place in barrels to ensure perfect control of this most delicate and mysterious phase of wine-making. The wine is aged for 30 months in barrels. TASTING : a beautiful golden yellow color. A reserved nose, with hints of apricot, peach and coconut. A creamy nose. a round, full-bodied attack on the palate, with a lively, rich evolution. A very fine structure for this wine, with great staying power and good length. 2006 was not an easy vintage. But thanks to a rigorous selection process, both in the vineyard and in the cellar, this wine made the most of Yquem's terroirs.
"Ce millésime est digne de la lignée du roi des vins. Sa robe d'or brillant met en scène le bouquet qui passe de délicates notes de tilleul, de cannelle et de verveine à des parfums d'agrumes (zeste de citron) et de pâte de fruits, avant qu'au troisième acte n'apparaissent des nuances plus rôties. Dès l'attaque, le vin se montre séduisant avant de révéler toute son harmonie. "

The robe can vary over the entire range of colors from pale gold to coppery gold through straw yellow.
Aroma
In the main aromatic field of soft and sweet Bordeaux we find the flower, the fresh fruits, the exotic fruits but also spicy notes and empireumatiques (wood, cinnamon, vanilla ...).

Taste
The sweet white young are delicious, they are slightly jammy but still retain acidity. With age they evolve on more concentrated aromas, such as the bitter orange confit and small notes of salted butter caramel.
