Vignobles TwilEstimated delivery between 25 and Nov 27,
Blend of 55% Cabernet-sauvignon, 29% Merlot, 13% Cabernet-franc, 2% Petit verdot and 1% Carmenère. A vintage that promises to be great.
"One original feature is the blend: 1% carmenère (a grape variety that has almost disappeared in Gironde), with an equal proportion of petit verdot. At ease in this gravelly terroir, Cabernet Sauvignon is the classic winner (58%), with Cabernet Franc (11%) and Merlot (29%) also contributing. Here, the harvest lasted until October 17. After a long stay in barrel, the wine has a dense color. After an initial, somewhat savage nose, the wine releases powerful, elegant aromas in which ripe black fruit combines with the toasty notes of ageing. On the palate, the attack is gentle, before unfolding with fullness, supported by tight tannins. The finish shows a certain youthful vivacity. A square, nervous and vigorous Pauillac".
