Vaudésir is one of seven climats in the Chablis Grand Cru appellation. It covers 15.4 hectares in a small valley protected from the wind, with the south-facing slope offering optimal ripeness for the grapes. The cooler north-facing slope retains its freshness and is often a late ripener. The soils have a high clay content, while the subsoil is classic, with calcareous Kimmeridgian marl.
