    In a few words ...

Château Carbonnieux is a Grand Cru Classé in the Pessac-Léognan appellation. On tasting, the wine has a silky, delicate, coated attack. The mid-palate is full, structured and dense. The pleasure rises to a crescendo throughout the tasting, and the finish is remarkably long. 2016 clearly belongs in the big league!

    Le vigneron

    Le vigneron vous en parle

"Château Carbonnieux red has been a classic Bordeaux wine for centuries. With its high standards of quality, it is the suave response of a fine blend of grape varieties from this region."

    Tasting notes

    Appearance

The wines have a dense but lighter robe than the medoc. The hue is ruby with a touch ranging from purple to brick depending on the evolution.

    Aroma

The bouquet is often fruity, with currant and other red and black fruits to which are added smoked or roasted notes.

    Taste

Composed on average of 50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, the red wines of Pessac-Léognan make a good compromise between marked tannins and the greediness of the fruit. We thus find red and ripe fruits, and empyreumatic notes.

Good. Structured, mellow tannins and black fruit aromas. Tasted in Bordeaux at Noailles with a fine piece of rare beef, a pleasant match.

The palate is silky and delicate for this Pessac-Léognan. Pairs well with poultry or red meat.
