Callipyge rouge comes from a parcel-by-parcel selection of vines over 40 years old, planted on the estate's highest-quality soils: deep gravel on one side, and clay-limestone plateau on the other. The wines are aged for 12 months in barrels, then blended and aged for a further 6 months in vats.

A very pleasant wine, powerful but well-balanced, full-bodied with a rather stable intensity that lingers well on the palate. Compared with other Bordeaux wines, it holds its own, especially for this price. Drink it today!

A very fine Bordeaux, full-bodied and long on the palate. A fine bottle for a reasonable price, I highly recommend it. Perfect with sauces or grilled meats. Can't wait to see what this wine will be like in 7/8 years!
