Brilliant, golden straw-yellow color. Fine bubbles. The mousse is discreet and persistent. The nose is very expressive and open, both fruity and brioche-like. It gives off aromas of peach, white flowers (hawthorn, acacia) and vanilla bean. The palate is lively, fresh and harmonious. Delicate fruit and honey flavors follow. Brut réserve, which matures over three to four years in the cellar, has a highly developed aromatic potential. In the beginning, pierre taittinger settled in champagne in 1932, where he created the "taittinger" house with its innovative style of champagne, strongly marked by chardonnay. Today, the taittinger family owns over 260 ha of vines, 170 of which are ploughed and herbicide-free. Champagne taittinger only produces a vintage cuvée when the harvest is of exceptional quality, and the 2012 vintage is a perfect example. It augurs well for a champagne with great ageing potential. This requirement is complemented by several years of cellar ageing, to ensure the slow ripening of aromas and the development of the wine's length and complexity.
