The winemaker

Winegrower in the Cognac region, oenologist and former cellar master, I have a project to rejuvenate and revitalize the image of Cognac. Thus was born "Ifrit", a Cognac matured in rum barrels (officially "Brandy", as the use of rum barrels deprives the product of the "Cognac" appellation, which has strict specifications to guarantee product quality). From viticulture and distillation to barrel ageing and blending, Cognac is the product of a long, centuries-old process. Often considered inaccessible and an elite spirit, "Ifrit" breaks these codes. Its refining in rum barrels makes it softer and offers aromatic complexity.
