On a clay-limestone soil (Jurassic rocks), the Hautes Côtes de Nuits are located on a plateau behind the famous Côte de Nuits, at an altitude of 300 to 400 meters. The soil is east-facing and faces south to east, capturing maximum sunlight. The climate is sometimes harsh, with cold, snowy winters and cooler summers, resulting in slower grape ripening. The result is wines marked by freshness, fruit and liveliness. Our expertise lies in balancing this character with subtle ageing to give them roundness and fullness.
