A highly reputed estate created at the dawn of the 20th century, since the early 1990s Maison Etienne Sauzet has combined trading with the production of a range of rare pulignys. Their Chardonnays combine finesse and elegance, without lacking ageing potential. This major producer has always produced quality wines, but with the new generation (benoît riffault and émilie boudot), the wines have become more refined while gaining in intensity. With the exception of the Montrachet and Chevalier-Montrachet, most of the wines are produced from grapes grown on the estate using biodynamic viticulture methods. Domaine Etienne Sauzet's Burgundy is made from Chardonnay vines planted on clay-limestone soils in the commune of Puligny Montrachet. Aged in barrels and a quarter in foudres. The nose reveals delicious notes of white peach, honeysuckle, green apple, fresh citrus, lime blossom and a hint of brioche. The palate is lively and fleshy, with a fine mineral structure and a salivating finish. The ideal cuvée to enter the world of great Burgundy whites.
