Domaine peyre rose - marlène soria - belle léone 2012the domaine peyre rose is located in saint-pargoire, between béziers and montpellier in the languedoc region. It is owned by the highly acclaimed winemaker marlène soria. Although she comes from a family of winegrowers in the region, she began her career in real estate before moving into wine. In 1973, she bought the domaine peyre rose as a second home with her husband, but following the real estate crisis, she decided to stay on full-time, spending three years fertilizing the land before planting her first vines in 1982. Despite the difficulties, marlène soria vinified for the first time in 1988. It was a great success, but she did encounter a few problems, notably pollution in her winery, in which she had invested heavily. Anxious to market wines of impeccable quality, she gave up three thousand years ago. Passionate about nature and turned towards ecology, marlène soria cultivates her 25 hectares of vines and produces organic wines. belle léone is a blend dominated by syrah. Maturation lasts around 10 years, with 25% in foudre and the rest in vat. The wine is then refined in bottle. The 2012 vintage was a difficult one in the Languedoc: drought, thunderstorms, rain and heat. Fortunately, windy spells prevented vine diseases and the grapes that escaped the heat and thunderstorms were able to perfect their ripeness.cépages : dominant syrah, grenache
