clos signadore was founded by christophe ferrandis. In 2001, at the age of 25, he acquired 4 hectares of nielluciu from a retired winemaker who, in the absence of descendants, wished to hand over his estate to a young winemaker. Christophe Ferrandis, a "red wine maker" from Provence, decided to abandon the estate's rosé wine production in favor of red wines. In the early stages, he applied integrated viticulture, converting Clos Signadore to organic production in 2010. Originally from Marseilles, christophe ferrandis trained at château de pibarnon (bandol) and settled in the village of poggio d'oletta near saint-florent in 2002. He makes his wine in a cramped former sheepfold, but plans to build a new winery. His vineyard faces Domaine Leccia in Morta Piana. Yields are low, the vines are grown organically and harvested in small crates. The concentrated, extracted style of the early years is evolving towards greater finesse. Suitable for excellent ageing, the reds are more harmonious, in particular the cuvée du clos signadore and a mandria, produced in all three colors. Inizia is a new négociant cuvée. The white cuvée a mandria du clos
