In a few words ...
Village of St Lager, after a few bends at the foot of Mont Brouilly, it's here. The courtyard overlooks the valley, and on a clear day you can see Mont Blanc. You've arrived at Domaine Sanvers-Cotton. Evelyne Sanvers and Guy Cotton are the parents of Pierre, who now manages 10 hectares, 5 of which are in the Côte de Brouilly appellation, with his head full of projects. He is at the epicenter of a 30-hectare zone where he and his neighbors, notably Domaine dupré-goujon, do not use insecticides but rather sexual confusion devices to combat grape worms. Conversion to organic farming is underway. The 100% cotton cuvée was vinified with indigenous yeasts and aged for 11 months in foudre (15% of which were barrels for several wines). This wine is reminiscent of the Burgundian style. The nose reveals magnificent notes of wild berries, sweet spices, violets and peony. The palate is ample and full-bodied, finishing with elegance.

Pierre Cotton is a benchmark domaine in Beaujolais. This Cote de Brouilly is once again a great success.
